The world is becoming a smaller place every day, with everything going global. Not to be left behind, institutes are now looking at fostering international tie-ups and staying abreast of contemporary competition by making the most of this refreshing trend of global knowledge exchange.


A case in point is Malaviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT), a renowned institute located in Jaipur. Established in the year 1963, it was the joint venture of the Indian government and the government of Rajasthan. Today, MNIT has tie-ups with many international universities.


Listed below, are some of MNIT’s international tie-ups that make it stand out as an educational institute:


1.      University of Greenwich, London

An MoU of academic corporations has been signed between the University of Greenwich, London, and MNIT, Jaipur. The MOU has been signed in order to establish a number of educational arrangements that will ultimately benefit the staff and the students as well.


2.      Stevens Institute of Technology

Stevens Institute of Technology and MNIT, Jaipur also have a standing MoU. Th MoU was signed in recognition of the strengths in education and research facilities of both  institutes. It was a mutual decision to engage in academic cooperation.


3.      North Dakota University

The MoU between North Dakota University and MNIT, Jaipur, was signed in order to promote academic cooperation in science and technology, between the two institutes.


4.      University of Saskatchewan

University of Saskatchewan and MNIT, Jaipur, have signed an MOU and agreed to establish a program for academic areas of mutual interest. An implementing agreement for each activity has also been signed between the two institutes.


5.      Deakin University

Deakin and MNIT have signed an agreement to explore more potential opportunities in the field of education. The agreement will last for almost five years from the date the agreement was signed.


6.      Florida International University

The MOU between Florida International University and MNIT was signed in the year 2012. This agreement lets MNIT graduates pursue their postgraduate studies at FIU.


7.      University of Dundee

The MOU between the University of Dundee and MNIT, Jaipur, offers the exchange of staff and students and the exchange of academic materials as well.


8.      Medine Limited

The MOU between Medine Limited and MNIT offers the establishment of an educational hub that will promote more educational activities. This MOU has been signed in order to promote quality technical education in both institutes. This was essential to meet the current and future challenges in technological development of the institutes.


While more tie-ups are underway, it is clear that MNIT is set to spread its proverbial wings to make the most of this wave of international academic cooperation, which is likely to benefit both students and faculty.

Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT) was established in the year 1960 as a joint venture of the Indian Government and the Government of Maharashtra. It is among the 30 National Institutes of Technology in India. The institute is among the more prestigious technical institutions in the country.


VNIT has seen rapid progress in the last four decades and this has made campus life more exhilarating than ever:


1. Beautiful and Inspiring Campus

VNIT has a beautiful campus that is spread across an area of 214 acres near the Ambazari Lake. The natural beauty can be easily seen all around campus and is great for nature lovers.


2. Facilities and Accommodation

The campus consists of administrative and academic blocks along, with various other amenities like e-library, guest house, auditorium, and a bank.. Residential accommodation is provided for teachers along with hostel facilities for about 1,000 students, of which 200 are reserved for female students.

A number of different extension services are provided by the institute, including R&D activities and other major testing projects as well.


3. Colorful and Enriching Cultural Life

The campus life at VNIT offers  The number of shades, ranging from Aarohi, the Youth Festival of VNIT to Technical Festival, Axis, are popular on the VNIT campus. Axis can be seen changing the landscape of technical festivals all over the country. VNIT also hosts an Inter NIT Sports Fest known as the VNIT Sports Fest, which allows the participation of students from all the NITs in the country, to showcase their sportsmanship.


4. Multi Cultural Landscape

Despite different cultural backgrounds of students, major festivals like Holi and Janmashtami can be seen celebrated by the students with great enthusiasm.
