Saroj Mohan Institute of Technology (commonly SMIT) is a co-educational private engineering college located in West Bengal, India. SMIT is affiliated to West Bengal University of Technology and approved by All India Council for Technical Education. The institution is one of the 16 Engineering Colleges under Techno India Group, the largest educational organization in eastern India. SMIT (Degree Division) was established in the year 2003 with a view to imparting quality technical education in its region. Situated in Guptipara (35 Km. from Bandel), a quiet serene township, that hosts a cultural background of almost 150 years, the college buildings stands tall within a covered area of more than 10 acres. SMIT's undergraduate courses offer B.Tech in several streams, including Information Technology. It also offers bachelor's degree in several management courses - Bachelor of Business Administration and Bachelor of Computer Applications.
