The Society for Computer Technology and Research is located on the Pune-Satara Road (SCTR). It has been running as an institution called Pune Institute of Computer Technology (PICT) for the last 30 years. Over the years, SCTR has been known to produce high quality engineers, who are working in different parts of the world at senior managerial positions. The institute has pioneered itself in the field of computer education. Also, to align itself with current industry requirements, SCTR has started a post graduate level institute, called as PICT School of Technology and Management (PICT-STM). In terms of infrastructure, the institute has everything a student can ask for. A centralised library, a computer lab with latest hardware and software, a canteen, and a large ground for sports. Facilities for the students are easily available at the PICT hospital. As it happens with engineering, there are more number of hostels for boys than girls. Sports, training and participation is also encouraged. WiFi is available all across campus
