The Guru Nanak Institute of Technology (or GNIT) is an engineering college established in 2003 by the JIS Group. It is located in West Bengal, India in Panihati, Sodpur. The college is AICTE-approved and is affiliated to the West Bengal University of Technology. The campus is located on 4,0468 square metres of land and is shared with sister colleges of the JIS Group, such as the Guru Nanak Institute of Dental Sciences and Research, a pharmaceutical college, a Hotel management college and a hospitality management college. The engineering college has one main U shaped building while an adjacent building is used for workshop practicals. The left section of the first floor of the college consists of the computer labs, like RDBMS labs, computer language labs, networking labs etc. The Department of Electrical Engineering has its labs mainly on the ground floor, like the Electrical Machine labs, Control System labs, Thermal Power labs etc.
