Government College of Engineering, Aurangabad (GECA) is an Autonomous engineering college in Maharashtra State of India. It was affiliated to the Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University and was established in 1960. In 2006, the college became an Autonomous Institute of Government of Maharashtra.[citation needed] The college has also got the TEQIP (Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme) grant. It holds national level and state level competitions round the year. It had hosted the National Level Technical Festival. The college is located near the Aurangabad Divisional Board of Higher Secondary Education (SSC),The college is 2 km away from the Aurangabad Railway Station; 3 km away from the central bus stand; and 9 km away from the Chikalthana Airport.
