According to a recent report there is to be a dress code for the forthcoming Joint Entrance Examinations Advanced 2016 (JEE Advanced 2016). The dress code listed below is in fact a list of items that have been banned from the examination hall.

a)      No full-sleeve shirts,

b)      No Kurtas

c)       No heels or shoes

The list of prohibited items also included watches. This was however removed from the list after the organizers received appeals from students and parents to allow students to wear watches.

The imposition of a dress code might seem excessive. But the organizers believe that prohibition of the aforementioned articles will help them prevent cheating or any other unfair practice.

Students who are found to not follow the rules will not be allowed to give the exam.
